Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Contact Us to start the DBT intake process
involving Teen Pretreatment or Adult Pretreatment sessions
to determine the best course of treatment for you.
We have three Comprehensive DBT Programs: Adult, Adolescent, and Child.
In addition to the information below, please read our Frequently Asked Questions about DBT.
Two DBT services are offered:
-
STANDARD/COMPREHENSIVE DBT is a cognitive-behavioral treatment that works. Clinical research has shown the effectiveness of Comprehensive or Standard DBT for a wide range of problems including impulsive & harmful behaviors, suicidality, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, dysfunctional habits, ADHD, traumatic stress, and interpersonal difficulties.
-
SKILLS TRAINING GROUP ONLY Recent research has shown benefit of skills training only. For clients who want to continue with an outside individual therapist, coming to us for Skills Training alone is an option. This option requires coordination with the outside individual therapist. This is not Comprehensive DBT, because these clients are getting only one of the four modes. For people with more significant symptoms, Comprehensive DBT is recommended.
