Child and Teen Therapy
For Individual therapy, we take a skills-based approach to teach kids (age 6 to 17) cognitive-behavioral skills to help them
-
emotionally regulate themselves
-
cope with stress
-
stay focused and organized
-
and deal well with family and other social relationships.
Creative activities are integrated into learning emotional and social skills to keep therapy engaging and fun.

Teens have therapy “homework” to practice these skills between sessions in their every day lives.
A family systems approach is included such that some parenting work with and support of parents is key to treatment.
